Choosing Games for the Perfect Hen Night
It can often feel like a difficult task if you’ve been chosen as the maid of honor, and need to come up with games that can be played on the hen night! Although it sometimes feels like a huge responsibility, as you’ll want the games to go down well with everyone on the night – there is really no need to worry. There’s a selection of hen party games that are known as ‘classics’ – they’re almost always played on any hen night, and always go down perfectly with those that are involved. These games cause hours of enjoyment amongst many hen parties every night in towns across the country – so we recommend you take your pick from this list, and be sure to have a good night!
- Pin the Tail on the Male – This game is very similar to the well-known game – pin the tail on the donkey. For this – you’ll need to blindfold the hen or one of the guests, and then spin them round several times before pointing them in the general direction of the blown up picture of the groom that you’ve put up! They’ll then need to stick a tail (or anything else you can think of – use your imagination!) onto the picture in the most relevant place. The person that gets it closest to the correct place wins!
- Construct your Perfect Man – This is a great game for the more creative people in the group. It works best if the Hen Party is split into pairs – and you’ll need to make sure you’ve got plenty of dough so that there’s enough to make the entire man! The Maid of Honor calls out different body parts to each of the pairs, and asks them to mold it as best they can. Once everyone is done, the bits get stuck together – to hopefully create an object that somewhat resembles the perfect man!
- Kiss the Celebrity – For this game you’ll require plenty of brightly colored lipstick – and a large poster of the Hens favorite celebrity (also works well with a picture of the groom). Blindfold everyone in the group one at a time, and like the pin the tail game – spin them round and then ask them to kiss the poster where they think the lips are. The person that get’s their lipstick mark closest to the lips wins the challenge!
- Never Have I Ever – This is probably one of the most popular games played on the Hen Night – so there’s no doubt you’ve probably heard of it. Each person in the group takes it in turns to ‘announce’ something they’ve never done (such as getting drunk and being sick, or laughing so hard they’ve wet themselves), and then anyone that has done this – has to take a big gulp of their drink. This continues to go round the group, taking it in turns, until the drink runs out! A perfect game to get the drinks flowing and then hen night off to a great start!
Whether you decide to play just a few games on the hen night, or decide to have a night fully packet with them, you’ll do well to choose at least one of the classic hen party games from the list above. If you get the game selection right, not one person will have a boring night – but will hopefully leave the party with a huge smile on their face, with stories to share with the girls for many years after. With the list above – there’s really no need to worry about which games to choose – just make sure you pick some of the above for a guaranteed great night!
